Meet Krista Mooney, the new owner of Scentsational

A third-generation Huntington resident and graduate of Walt Whitman High School, Krista lives in South Huntington with her husband Ryan—also a Whitman alum—their two children, Elliot and Jake, and her mother, affectionately known as “Nonnie.”

Krista began working at Scentsational as a high school sophomore and has remained deeply connected to the shop ever since. In March 2024, after more than two decades of dedication, she took the reins from her longtime mentor and friend, Sarah Coulson, officially becoming the owner of the store she’s helped shape for years.

With her deep roots in the community and a true passion for the art of fragrance, Krista is committed to keeping Scentsational a warm, welcoming space for both longtime customers and new faces. If you haven’t met her yet, stop in and say hello—she can’t wait to continue this journey with you.
